After several fatalities cripple the island’s Fourth of July celebrations, Brody enlists oceanographer Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and shark hunter Quint (Robert Shaw) for help, setting out for a confrontation on the high seas with death itself. Drawing influences from Moby-Dick and Alfred Hitchcock, Spielberg created a landmark film that put him on the map and rightfully won three Academy Awards, including Best Score.
