Thomas, a young German baker, is having an affair with Oren, an Israeli married man. When Oren dies in a car crash in Israel, Thomas travels to Jerusalem seeking answers regarding his death. Under a secret identity, Thomas infiltrates the life of Anat, his lover’s widowed wife. Thomas becomes involved in her life, far beyond his anticipation. To protect the truth, he will stretch his lie to a point of no return. For prize-winning director Ofir Raul Graizer, The Cakemaker cuts close to the bone: “It’s a story about the attempt to put aside definition of nationality, sexuality and religion. It’s my story.”

Join us on Friday, July 13 for the Red Carpet Reception of The Cakemaker. Light bites and drinks will be provided, courtesy of Seasons 52 and Bacardi.
