Friday, Sep 14, 2018 6:30 PM
Kick off Whatcom Water Week with another Streams of Thought film, presented by Whatcom Watershed Information Network (WWIN). Tickets are FREE.
Anote’s Ark is a documentary addressing one of the prominent dilemmas of our time: sea-level rise. The Pacific Island nation of Kiribati (population: 100,000) is one of the most remote places on the planet, seemingly far-removed from the pressures of modern life. Yet it is one of the first countries that must confront imminent annihilation from sea-level rise. Hear firsthand stories from people dealing with this dilemma and then stay after the film for a short discussion from local experts on what is being done to address local impacts from sea-level rise.

Film starts at 6:30 pm, come early for open house in the lobby.
