Since 1956 the Dixie Neon Star and signboard has shown brightly over Downtown Ruston. But lately, it’s not quite as bright as it used to be. Over the years, our signboard has weathered all types of outdoor elements from wind, rain, hail, snow, ice, tornadoes, and hurricanes. It has stood strong for over 67 years, but now it needs a major overhaul and is in need of some obsolete parts. The signboard will have to be rebuilt from scratch, and during the process, the signboard lighting will be upgraded to LED.
