Armageddon Time
Armageddon Time | 115mins |
From the director of Ad Astra and The Immigrant, Armageddon Time received a seven minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival.
Set in 1980 at the beginning at the dawn of the Reagan era, this coming of age story focuses on Paul, a budding artist and sixth grade smartass who gets himself shipped off to private school to live up to his privilege and potential. Stuck among truly awful rich kids, Paul needs his grandfather (Anthony Hopkins) to guide him through to being a decent human being.
A gorgeous study of family life and its complications, Armageddon Time is a must-see movie of the fall, if only for Jessica Chastain's cameo appearance as Donald Trump's mother.
