Description

With a stroke of his pen, President Roosevelt destroyed the lives of 120,000 Japanese Americans in 1942.

Set against the backdrop of the internment camps mandated by Executive Order 9066, KINTSUKUROI follows the Ito family from its idyllic life in San Francisco's Japantown to the concentration camps of the American West to the battlefields of Europe as it endures one of the most shameful periods in American history.

The screening is a fundraiser for the Hamilton NAJC whose mission is to strive for equal rights and liberties for all people – in particular those of racial and ethnic minorities.
