personal, darkly funny portrait of a man confronting his own mortality. When successful
San Francisco advertising executive André
Ricciardi learns at 52 that he has stage-4 colon cancer, he realizes the
disease might have been prevented if he had simply gotten a colonoscopy.
Calling himself an “idiot” for putting it off, André decides to document his
final chapter in his own way - with
his acerbic sense of humor and absurdist temperament, often pointed at himself
and his predicament. His therapy sessions
and interviews with his wife, Janice, are particularly revealing and
poignant—grounding André’s seemingly irreverent project in his efforts to
protect his family during an increasingly painful time... and in his wish to
