Sponsored screening by William Spratt, followed by a panel discussion with director T.G. Herrington.
A Tuba To Cuba follows New Orleans' famed Preservation Hall Jazz Band as they retrace their musical roots from the storied city of jazz to the shores of Cuba. A son seeks to fulfill his late father’s dream by taking his band to the shores of the island, where — through the universal language of music — dark and ancient connections between their peoples reveal the roots of jazz, and in turn discover a connection that runs much deeper than could have been imagined.
