Mataron a Pedro is the untold story of Pedro Albizu Campos, the father of Puerto Rican nationalism. In the 1930s, farmers turned to a young Black Harvard educated lawyer, to fight for them, despite a political machine in Washington determined to silence them. The film asks the question: for whom is democracy crafted for? Following the film screening will be having a Q&A with Debbie Perez, host of @borikenpodcast, who served as a producer of the film.
