PAID IN SWEAT’S presents a BEFORE TRILOGY! In conclusion…
An insomniac (Edward Norton) struggling to dig himself out of a murky depression befriend an unconventional soap salesman (Brad Pitt) with a penchant for trouble, and influence over an overzealous hand to hand combat ring.
BEFORE THERE WAS Bottoms, there was Fight Club
I’ve already broken the number one rule of FIGHT CLUB and the second rule of FIGHT CLUB. This 1999 powerhouse has been embraced by many, sometimes it’s the wrong crowd who tries to take hold of its message and distort it, but not to worry, PAID IN SWEAT is here to save it from nefarious clutches, and present it back to the people. A relevant as ever, a glimpse into discourse today around masculinity, marketing and financial exploitation, mental health, and distortion of reality. David Fincher is a heavy hitter, and we like that in this house. Let the blood, sweat, and tears lead the way. This grimy, dynamic masterwork will blow your mind on the big screen, prepare to walk out, changed. See you at the movies! (VANYA GARRAWAY)
