PRESENTED On 35mm! 35th Anniversary Screenings!
This February, 35 on 35 celebrates Black History Month with Spike Lee’s monumental biographical epic MALCOLM X.
Screening on the anniversary of Malcolm X’s assassination on February 21, 1965, this is an opportunity to revisit a film whose themes of racial justice, identity, and resistance remain as relevant as ever.
Malcolm X (1992) is an epic biographical drama directed by Spike Lee, starring Denzel Washington as the prominent African American activist. Based on The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X and Alex Haley, the 202-minute film traces the sweeping life of Malcolm Little from his early street-hustling days to his spiritual transformation, leadership, and tragic death.
