Big things happen to those who dream big.
In honour of the wonderful Michelle Trachtenberg and Hayden Panettiere, HOLD UP! is thrilled to bring our screening of Disney’s 2005 teen classic ICE PRINCESS (Dir. Tim Fywell) to Revue Cinema. ICE PRINCESS follows Casey (Trachtenberg), a teenage science whiz who falls back in love with her childhood hobby of ice skating while in pursuit of a Harvard physics scholarship. In doing so, she meets Gen (Panettiere), a skater who has devoted her life’s work to slaying the ice. The movie navigates their sisterhood and respective journeys on and off the ice, while they deal with academic and parental pressure (speaking of which, two more divas are on the scene, as the respective moms of Casey and Gen are played by none other than icons Joan Cusack and Kim Cattrall. I mean, come on). ICE PRINCESS is a heartwarming tale of revisiting forgotten dreams and embracing female friendship. We dedicate our screening to the memories of Michelle Trachtenberg and Hayden Panettiere, who inspired an entire generation of girls to reach for the stars.
