Against the backdrop of a rapidly changing San Francisco, HOME IS A HOTEL enters the world of residential hotels where families live in 8-by-10 foot rooms and share a bathroom and kitchen with 15 others. The film follows Huan Di, a recent immigrant and single mother, as she struggles to build a new life for herself and her daughter Jessica.
