Description

On August 9, 2014, Michael Brown an unarmed black, 18 year-old, was shot and killed by a white police officer in the town of Ferguson, Missouri. What appeared to be just one more shooting by police of an unarmed black man proved to be something more. The outrage over Michael Brown's killing moved not only Ferguson's black community to mobilize, but sparked massive demonstrations in communities across the country. The events of Ferguson forced white, middle class, America to confront issues of racism and policing in communities of color. "Ferguson Documented: In 36 Hours" explores these issues through a diverse collection of voices sharing their experiences.
