France 1971. Delphine toils away on her parents’ farm while being fully aware that her attraction to women will bar her from fulfilling their expectations of marrying a local boy. She decides to move to Paris where, none too soon, she meets a group of radical feminists and falls in love with Carole. The bliss of their exciting new relationship is interrupted, however, when Delphine’s father has a stroke and she must return home to help with the farm. Director Catherine Corsini’s sun-dappled romance takes a look at emotional and social complexities with a refreshingly grounded eye.
