Mother-daughter roles are reversed when Beth, a high-school senior, is faced with shouldering the responsibility of her single mother struggling with bipolar disorder and fluctuating meds. Director Valerie Weiss takes a conscientious and compassionate look at mental illness and its effects on family and friends, bolstered by Taryn Manning and Madison Davenport incredibly empathetic performances in the two lead roles.
