Description

Join us at the Gables Cinema for the 1998 sequel by director George Miller, Babe: Pig in the City, as part of our Family Day on Aragon series! Babe the pig, while reveling in his sheepherding contest victory, returns to Farmer Hoggett’s farm to resume his life as a humble shepherd. But life has other plans... Farmer Hoggett (voiced by James Cromwell) is severely injured in a well accident and is unable to work. His wife tries to keep the farm going, but cannot satisfy their bank obligation. Without other options, Babe sets off with Mrs. Hoggett for the big city to earn money to save the farm. While staying in the only rooming house that accepts pets, Babe befriends an amazing assortment of animals, and learns how a kind and temperate heart works as well in the city as it does on the farm. Pat Graham of the Chicago Reader writes, “It’s George Miller’s masterpiece, maybe even the best commercial film of 1998.”
