We all know there are millions of cat lovers who collect anything to do with cats and dog lovers who love their dogs. But it was joy to learn that there are also some amazing lovers of hippos out there. The Pursuit of Hippo-ness features an ensemble of people whose lives are tied to the hippopotamus in some manner, the film explores their relationships with the animal and with each other and raises the larger questions about how we conceptualize, represent, and interact with nature. -Jennifer Morris

The tale (or tail!) of 3 canine heroes and the two people that care for them. Nobody’s Perfect tells the story of a group of disabled animals who found joy and happiness in their lives, despite the enormous odds stacked against them. A documentary about life, love, the simplicity of true happiness and, most importantly, man’s best friend.
