Long Island-based indie-folk singer-songwriter Cassandra House and LI-based Americana band Quarter Horse will swaps songs as they share the stage.
Cassandra House, who released her debut full-length CD, The Roam, earlier this month, writes largely introspective songs and delivers them in her soulful and mellifluous voice. She’s drawn comparisons to Patty Griffin, Kathleen Edwards and Neko Case.
Quarter Horse, a six-member ensemble, has been rapidly building a following on LI and beyond. Elements of folk, rock, alternative, country, blues, and jazz are all part of its Americana sound.
