In an extensive and exciting workshop, Emmy nominated character designer, Steve Saiz (Nickelodeon, Netflix, and more), will teach you what goes into designing an animation character. Saiz will introduce you to the many facets of the design process including: design fundamentals, sketchbook drawing, and identifying the tools and techniques young designers will need on their creative journey. Storytelling through shape, line and color by using real materials, pencils, markers, cutouts and glue, will help you illustrate what makes a character be read with humor and come to life with a story.
The Introduction to Animation Character Design with Steve Saiz will be located at John Martin's directly behind the Gables Cinema on Miracle Mile. This workshop is suitable for children ages 9-14. There is a $25 material and equipment fee.
