KAZUO KOIKE‘s celebrated manga series spawned a franchise for both cinema and television that tells the story of a Ronin-a masterless samurai-who embarks on restoring honor to his name after being framed for disloyalty to the Shogunate, all while caring for a small child, Daigoro.

The first in a series of six films in the Lone Wolf and Cub series, the film tells the story of Ogami Itto, a wandering assassin for hire who is accompanied by his young son, Daigoro. Based on the manga by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima.
