Workshop A: Storytelling Improv
Tracey Segarra of “Now You’re Talking! A Storytelling Show,” speaks to participants about the basics of live storytelling and leads a brief game to identify possible storytelling subjects.
Workshop B: How to Publish a Children’s Book and a Non-Fiction Book
Authors Liza Burby and Rudy Shur talk to attendees about the techniques they need to employ to get their manuscripts published.

Held once a year, Long Island LitFest is a unique day of workshops, author readings and book signings. Select one of two FREE (with ticket) workshops. Then head to our packed author sessions starting at 11 am. Meet the authors, purchase their books at our pop-up bookstore and have them signed. Our emcee will once again be former Friars Club historian and roast writer Barry Dougherty.
