Description

Using his exotic looks and romantic wiles, an Iranian man races against time to obtain a residence permit in Denmark in this intense psychological drama. From his perch at an upscale Copenhagen wine bar, the impeccably dressed Esmail scours the room, looking for a vulnerable and available Danish female on whom to unleash his charm offensive. Little does she know that he will be deported if he doesn’t land a stable relationship to enhance his otherwise weak immigration application.

This feature debut by Miladi, an Iranian who came to Sweden at the age of six, explores the all-too-human aspects of what makes someone leave their house, home, family and culture to start a new life at the other end of the world, and the consequences of that decision.
