Description

Jan Verheyen, the acclaimed director behind Dossier K., returns with the third installment in the Flemish policier series adapted from books by crime novelist extraordinaire Jef Geeraerts. Following The Alzheimer Case and Dossier K., Brussels detectives Vincke and Verstuyft investigate a series of gruesome murders, but their unconditional friendship hits a rough patch when Verstuyft falls for an attractive New Age healer, an apparent survivor of the killer, and goes rogue. Annoyed by the rebelliousness of his former partner, Vincke, now a departmental commander, decides to bring in a Dutch profiler of serial killers and keep Verstuyft on a short leash. Meanwhile, the serial killer has a new victim in sight.

The gripping film benefits from gorgeously moody visuals, propulsive editing, and a spooky score ratcheting up of tension and unpredictability as both suspects and red herrings accumulate until the very last moment.
