At the onset, the game played in Odds Are appears to be a simple one. Players pick a number, speak it aloud, and if two players choose the same number they must take part in a dare. In the film, three young college students do just that, expecting a fun night on the town. What happens instead is a sharp turn into danger, and the three soon find themselves fighting for their lives.
From TV veteran and filmmaker Peter Markle, Odds Are... is based on true events and, while a nail-biting thriller, also serves as a word of caution. American director Peter Markle is most known for his celebrated work in the television industry, having worked on a variety of series including Burn Notice (’10), Rescue Me (’09) and Crisis (’14). He directed the television movie Flight 93 in 2006.
