The Americans called it the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese refer to it as the American War. By whatever name, it was a great tragedy. To this day, its visible – and more often invisible – scars of the war remain.

Join award-winning author and photographer Charlene Edwards as she revisits the Vietnam War with an emotional, informative and enlightening presentation. Through powerful personal narratives and photographs, Voices From Vietnam tells the stories of the men, women and children, American and Vietnamese, affected by this conflict during the war and afterwards. The moving presentation is interwoven with original live music from singer-songwriters Patricia Shih and John Taylor, followed by Vietnam veteran, Michael Pergola, who speaks of his return to the battlefields of his youth.

The program proceeds with a panel of Vietnam veterans sharing a few of their experiences during and after the war. Included in this segment are Monsignor Fink, Vietnam veteran and author of ‘Bury Me With Soldiers,’ and Joan Furey, second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corp who was featured in the 2017 Ken Burns-Lynn Novick Documentary: The Vietnam War.
