Description

St. Anthony Main 1st Floor, 125 SE Main St., Minneapolis

Guests can reserve a time slot for that day only by signing up in person during open hours.

In celebration of Earth Day 2018 (Sunday, April 22), we are thrilled to present the Minnesota premiere of the highly acclaimed Virtual Reality experience Tree by Milica Zec and Winslow Porter, creators of the stunning Giant featured in last year’s inaugural Virtual Reality exhibition. An extraordinary 10-minute multisensory VR installation that gives participants the unique opportunity to grow from seed to full grown rainforest tree, Tree matches a fully immersive experience with a powerful narrative allowing you to see, feel, hear and smell what it is like to “be” a tree and witness its fate firsthand.

With your arms as branches and your body as trunk, you’ll experience the wonder of growth, literally from the ground up. Admission is free and open to the public.

Exhibition hours:

  • Saturday, April 21 - 12:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Sunday, April 22 - 12:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Monday, April 23 - 4:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 24 - 4:00pm - 8:00pm

"Virtual reality has been an increasing Sundance focus, and this project is especially ambitious. Participants won't just be handed an oculus rift headset and told to have fun." - New York Times
