Description

'If all of us are affected by illness in some way, then why can't we talk about it?' 'Sickboy' follows 29-year-old Jeremie Saunders as he lives openly with Cystic Fibrosis and devotes his life to removing the stigma attached to chronic illness and disease. Told as a child he wouldn't live to the age of 25, Jeremie is literally laughing in the face of his illness and is racing to convince others to do the same. Everyday is a constant battle to stay healthy and his cavalier attitude with death takes a big emotional toll on the people that he loves.

The film traces the efforts by Jeremie and his two best friends, Brian and Taylor, to create a podcast that uses laughter to change the way people talk about serious illness. What starts off as a joke turns into an ispiring personal journey in which they reflect on love and their own mortality as the podcast transforms the lives of people all over the world.
