Description

In the center of the Bay Area, the center for all things tech, lays a center of a more analogue nature. The San Francisco Center for the Book. But what is at the center of a book? The evolution, function and form of the book is chronicled from early clay tablets to the invention of the printing press to the modern smartphone that now fits in your pocket. Since 1996, The San Francisco Center for the Book has proved to be a tactile oasis in an increasingly digital city, dedicated to teaching and creating the art of the book, and instilling that book will continue to live on.
