Winner of the César Award (the French Academy Awards) for Most Promising Actress - Camélia Jordana.
Neïla Salah (played by the radiant French pop star-turned-actor Camélia Jordana) lives in the projects and is a brilliant law student at a university in an upscale Paris neighborhood, where she takes classes by the famous and provocative Pierre Mazard (Gallic acting veteran Daniel Auteuil ). To redeem himself for some off-color remarks, Pierre agrees to coach Neïla for a prestigious rhetorical competition.
With the help of this tyrannical yet well-intentioned mentor, Neïla plunges headfirst into the universe of verbal jousts, oratorical showmanship and excellence.
