Description

A truly one-of-a kind work of cinema, The Price of Everything delves into the state of the contemporary art world and features a multitude of insightful voices from artists, art dealers, art directors, curators, and collectors. From multi-award-winning director Nathaniel Kahn (Oscar® Nominated My Architect), this feature documentary discusses the art market of today, and a system that puts a price-tag on artistic expression.

From abstract to avant-garde, the film takes us on a tour through the art business, led by the people who know the system best: Sotheby Europe’s Chairman Oliver Barker, Mary Boone of the Mary Boone Gallery in New York, artist/dealer Gavin Brown, Connie Butler of the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and numerous others. At its core, The Price of Everything is not only a peek behind the curtain, but a layered discussion on the art world of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
