Description

A twelve-year-old Brooklyn boy (Noah Schnapp of Stranger Things), with a passion for cooking, decides to create a meal that will unite his conflicted family. The son of an Israeli mother and a Palestinian father, Abe dreams of a harmonious menu to calm the historic clashes of his grandparents. On a quest through the streets of Brooklyn, Abe gleans inspiration from the city's endless mixing of diverse flavors. Finding refuge in a professional kitchen, Abe pays his dues taking out the trash and dishwashing. Brazilian chef Chico (Seu Jorge) and his crew share culinary skills, ethics, and a philosophical approach to food with a fusion of South American, Jamaican, and NYC influences. Back at home, when his half Jewish/half Muslim family sees religious rite of passage as the next battleground, can this young chef find the right ingredients to bring peace to the family table?
