Description

Director Janice Engel Attending!

This documentary feature from Janice Engel profiles trailblazing journalist Molly Ivins, a media powerhouse who made it her mission to stand against political and social corruption, raising hell one full-bodied laugh at a time. Born in Houston, Texas, Ivins earned her Master's degree at Columbia University's School of Journalism and went on to study in Paris at the Institute of Political Sciences during the 1960s. As a new voice in the industry, Ivins was hired at the Minneapolis Tribune, where she was eventually named the city's first female police reporter. Before long, she was writing for the New York Times. Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Ivins' diverse, decorated and influential career. While Ivins' legacy continues to inspire young voices, this inspired and awe-inspiring doc makes one thing clear–Molly Ivins was one of a kind.
