In this sublime documentary, we observe a year with the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra as they prepare for their first-ever international tour, a crowning achievement for the orchestra now in its 36th year. Lead by their formidable and dynamic conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the ensemble diligently prepares each classical work with precision and the acoustics of Europe's most prestigious concert halls in mind. Director Jean-Nicolas Orhon brings viewers beyond the rehearsals and into the everyday lives of the talented musicians behind the orchestra, joyously revealing the intimacy shared creating the art they love. Likewise, Orhon illuminates the precious role of the maestro in Nézet-Séguin and his ability to educate, inspire, and command.
