Description

When twelve-year-old Bodil's parents split up, she and her brother move in with their mother to an apartment on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Overwhelmed by her parents' bitter fighting, tighter living quarters, and her brother's problems in school, Bo is consumed by rage. She struggles to adjust until she befriends Joy, a girl her own age living in her building, who introduces Bo to the neighborhood kickboxing club. Finally finding an outlet, Bo discovers she has a fierce talent for fighting. With support from their coaches, the teens build their strength, fighting internal battles just as hard as their competitors. As the pressure mounts in and out of the ring, Bo must learn to control her volatile temper and to accept that there are things in life that she can't change. Will Bo balance her strength, head, and heart in time for the kickboxing championship?
