In Jean-Phillipe Guad's debut feature film, the love and traditions shared and passed down between generations of family is at the center of the story of Elias, a young man born and raised in the Moroccan village of Tazzeka. He learned the art of cooking from his grandmother and has grown up dreaming of making it in the world of cuisine. After a chance encounter with a famous French television chef at a corner store restaurant where he serves as a chef, Elias comes to believe that Paris is the perfect place to chase his dream. Once there, the future becomes less certain, and his status as an undocumented immigrant prevents him from achieving the life he wants. Fortunately, Elias strikes up a friendship with kindred spirit Souleymane, who inspires and encourages Elias to live his passion.
