"Even Rambo-sequel haters should check out this superior action movie." - Michael J. Weldon, The Psychotronic Video Guide

"Sylvester Stallone is one of the great physical actors in the movies, with a gift for throwing himself so fearlessly into an action scene that we can't understand why somebody doesn't get really hurt." - Roger Ebert

"There's so much machismo and testosterone in this movie a woman could become pregnant by simply watching it for more than 10 minutes at a time." - Chris the Brain, BulletProofAction.com

In First Blood, former US Army Special Forces soldier and Vietnam veteran John Rambo (Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone) wanders into a small town in the Pacific Northwest only to be harassed by the local sheriff (Brian Dennehy) and his deputies. When Rambo's flashbacks and emotional trauma take hold, he begins a one-man war against the police.

With the support of Studiocanal, the restoration of First Blood was made from the original camera negatives, which were scanned in 4K resolution 16-bit in Technicolor Hollywood. The full restoration was done at Eclair in Paris. The film was restored frame by frame, respecting the artistic choices of the original production.

Based on the novel by former University of Iowa professor of English, David Morrell.
