Not in Tel Aviv

Description

Nony Geffen | Israel, 2012 | 82 min.

Co-presented by the SF Jewish Film Festival

When a repressed high-school teacher loses his job, he decides to take everything down with him. Within a few days, he kidnaps a teenage student, reconnects with his old high-school crush, forgives an old friend, kills his mother, takes on a group of feminists, a movie star, the police and the stifling conventions of his boring small town. Part dark comedy and part road movie, Not In Tel Aviv brings a refreshing change of pace to the international indie film scene.
