Description

When the global economy collapses, the only true victors are those who were bailed out. Petey plays in the San Francisco band, Thee Oh Sees and works in a pornography warehouse, packing and shipping sex paraphernalia to customers all over the world.

Ginger works the late-night shift in a NYC bar as a fortune-teller to those who have been hit hard by the financial crisis.

Both Petey and Ginger are close friends of the filmmaker, which creates an intimate and poetic experience for those seeking a personal documentary with honesty and heart. Petey & Ginger reveals how in-between people are hanging on in today's America, desiring and dreaming in an uncertain world.

Featuring music by Thee Oh Sees, Lee “Scratch” Perry & The Upsetters, The Mallard, Dan Higgs, The Sandwitches, Tim Cohen, OCS, Tres Ferocious, Coachwhips & Hannah and Andrew D’arezzo Vogan. (JMG)

DocFest is proud to present a special screening of Complaints Choir, which is also directed by Ada Bligaard Søby.
