Description

Dear friends and fans of Eugene Mirman:

Due to an illness in the family, Eugene Mirman is unable to attend SF Sketchfest this year. The festival looks forward to paying tribute to Eugene at a later date. We will still proudly present the Bay Area premiere of the funny and moving documentary "It Started as a Joke," which spotlights the 10 years of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival alongside Eugene's family life.

Due to these circumstances, there will be no post-film panel, and Kristen Schaal, Sarah Vowell, Julie Smith Clem, and Olivia Wingate will not attend. The film will be introduced by Eugene's longtime friends Jon Glaser and Bobcat Goldthwait, both of whom are featured in the film.

We thank you for your understanding.
