Directly inspired by the work of James Joyce and John Prine, this shambling Texas musical follows two genial silver foxes, Jerry and Carl, as they con women out of--well, not fortunes exactly. When one of them falls in love with a mark, it might be the end of the honky-tonk road. Meanwhile, a clumsy private investigator is hunting these over-the-hill charmers for his own nefarious purposes.
