Pavel returns to his rural family home to attend the burial of his mother, Valentina. But his father, Vassil, a blustering artist used to getting his own way, insists that Valentina is calling him from the afterlife and insists that Pavel to drive him to visit a New Age shaman who can help decipher the mystery.

Director Biography
Kristina Grozeva was born in 1976 in Sofia, Bulgaria and graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art where she made several award-winning short films. With director Petar Valchanov she has directed the documentary feature Parable of Life (2009) and the features, The Lesson (2014) and Glory (2016) which appeared at the 2017 MSPIFF.
Petar Valchanov was born in 1982 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and graduated in 2008 from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is the collaborator, with Kristina Grozeva, on the films Parable of Life (2009), The Lesson (2014), Glory (2016), and The Father (2019).
