SOLD OUT
10-year-old Gerda and her brother Otto are not enjoying the usual Christmas celebration. It’s 1942, and their parents are helping the Norwegian resistance during the worst winter of the Second World War. When the parents are arrested, the children must escape to neutral Sweden, along with two Jewish children they discovered hiding.
For Greta and Otto, the lessons of their parents’s struggle have not been ignored. Led by Gerda, the children summon up their considerable intelligence, skill and bravery and sneak aboard trains, through forests and past the invading German army to reach their goal. Appropriate for the entire family, The Crossing is a rousing tale about the resilience of children in trying times.
