Filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert create this cinematic “love letter” to one of the most intriguing natural sites in the world: the Okavango River Delta, where the river empties not into a sea or lake but merely into a basin of land, creating one of the most fascinating ecosystems in Africa.

Originally shooting for PBS’ Nature, the Jouberts have assembled footage for a thrilling cinematic experience that brings viewers to this incredible African environment in Botswana. Lions, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and numerous other animals are shown in their native habitat. The Jouberts even consider the river itself to be a creature, as it alters its habits through the different seasons.
