About the film

WATCH MOVIE

When his mother accepts a job on a cruise ship, teenage troublemaker Goran is forced to attend a Catholic boarding school in rural Croatia in order to get straightened out and fly right. But his rebelliousness is not contained, and the school will stop at nothing to iron out his wayward attitude.

Ignoring prayer at meals, and then rudely complaining about the irrationality of the Virgin Birth, Goran comes under the eye of the headmistress Danijela, who focuses like a laser on the boy and slowly tries to break him. When he resists, she manipulates the student body to join her in tearing him down. Slowly she tries to break him and he resists, but soon his classmates join in, until finally the boy begins to crack. Timely and compelling, Ognjen Svilicic’s The Voice speaks for the bullied teenager in most of us. “A pointed, efficient warning.” --The Hollywood Reporter
