“Plan 9 From Outer Space”

No Longer Available

Comedian, Television writer and Ed Wood superfan Dana Gould ("The Simpsons," "Stan Against Evil") brings a special adaptation of the screenplay of Wood’s classic film “Plan 9 From Outer Space” to the virtual SF Sketchfest stage with a stacked cast of comedians (including Kat AagesenDeborah Baker, Jr., Maria BamfordBobcat Goldthwait, Dana Gould, David Koechner, Laraine Newman, Oscar Nunez, Bob OdenkirkJonah RayPaul F. Tompkins, Janet Varney, Baron Vaughn and Gary Anthony Williams), miniature visual effects by Mike Carano, and musical accompaniment by Eban Schletter.
Wry stage directions and narration help pay tribute to the film’s, shall we say, quirkier qualities. Originally titled “Grave Robbers from Outer Space,” Wood’s 1959 science-fiction “masterpiece” follows aliens who utilize a plan to reanimate earth’s dead in order to stop the building of a doomsday weapon. Don’t miss this “so-bad it’s good” staple from the B-movie canon like you’ve never seen it before, recreated for your viewing pleasure by a bunch of people who ought to know better.
Due to a change in their schedules, Jean Grae and Tim Meadows will no longer be appearing. Deborah Baker, Jr. and Gary Anthony Williams have been added.
