Director Biography
An award winning Director/Producer and Cinematographer, Andrés is owner of VenUS Directions, Inc., which specializes in offering professional production services both nationally and internationally. Andrés has received international recognition for his work as Director and Cinematographer. Some of his awards include: Official selection for the 2017 MSPIFF (Without Papers), Best Documentary at the 2017 Saint Paul Frozen Film Festival for Without Papers, Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards (Without Papers) January 2017 Edition, Bronze Medal award from The New York Festivals and Telly award for his camera work in the documentary Building a New World; Silver Cindy award, Gold New York Festival award, Two Rivers Native Film and Video Festival award, Finalist award from The New York Festivals, Finalist Telly award and top honors at the 1997 ITVA National Festival for his work as Director of Photography for Bertha Iron Boy, a documentary produced for AIDS Films in New York and broadcast on PBS. As a Director of Photography, Andrés also worked for 2 years as part of a team of photographers for the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, a project founded by Film Director Steven Spielberg.
