celebration concert for Jared Sims’ new release, “Analogy of the Sun.” All the
compositions being performed are written by Jared and feature an all-star
Pittsburgh band including Reggie Watkins on trombone, Alton Merrell on piano,
Jeff Grubbs on bass and David Throckmorton on drums. The music is challenging,
diverse and swingin’; exploring Jared’s playing on the baritone sax as well as
the flute.
