"The humor is terrific, the cinematography has a burnished glow, and the score is lush." —Desson Thomson, The Washington Post

"The most passionate, clear-sighted movie ever made about women in sports."—Amy Taubin, The Village Voice

Next-door neighbors as kids, Quincy (Omar Epps) and Monica (Sanaa Lathan) fall in love as teens and find that they share an all-consuming interest in basketball. Their individual abilities in the sport take them down separate career paths in high school and college, and the couple must struggle to keep their relationship alive as they pursue success as professional athletes. The debut feature from writer/director Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Old Guard) is an enduring classic with a loaded cast featuring Regina Hall (Girls Trip), Alfre Woodard (Passion Fish), and Gabrielle Union (Top Five) in supporting roles.
