Cinema Arts Centre and
St. Joseph’s Farms at CSJ Brentwood are excited to present a Free and Fun
family-friendly evening at the movies! Join us for an outdoor screening of the
local documentary, FARMING THE FUTURE: FARM LIFE OF LONG ISLAND. The screening
will feature a tour of St. Joseph’s Farms at CSJ Brentwood, a Q&A with
local experts, live music, a playground for the kids, and more! Remember
to bring picnic blankets and chairs!
Farming the Future:
Farm Life on Long Island celebrates the enduring way of life, work ethic, and
value system of Long Island family farmers, whose rural heritage spans more
than three centuries, and chronicles their struggles with everything from
weather and suburban sprawl to competition from abroad. Narrated by actor William Baldwin, a Long Island native,
the film also features an interview with Farm Aid president and music legend Willie Nelson.

from The Sound Cellar, tabling with Strong Youth and other local organizations, and playtime on the
playground

the film and farm by the Sisters of St. Joseph
